DIY Epoxy Color Sand Self-Leveling Floor Installation Guide
Epoxy color sand self-leveling coating turns ordinary concrete into beautiful, wear-resistant floors with natural marble texture. It is widely used for garages, basements, shops and indoor living spaces.
Step 1: Concrete Surface Grinding & Cleaning
Grind concrete to remove old paint, oil stains and loose cement. Repair pits and cracks. Vacuum all dust thoroughly. Oil contamination must be cleaned completely.
Step 2: Apply Primer Coat
Roll epoxy primer on the concrete. Primer penetrates concrete to improve adhesion. Wait until primer is tack-free before next step.
Step 3: Spread Color Sand Epoxy Layer
Mix epoxy base and hardener. Spread evenly and broadcast color sand. Use a spiked roller to release air bubbles and ensure self-leveling flow.
Step 4: Clear Protective Top Coat
After color sand layer cures, apply transparent top coat to create a glossy stain-resistant protective finish.
Pro Tips
Temperature affects curing speed. Avoid low-temperature construction.
Wear protective gear during mixing and application.
Keep floor clear during full curing period.
